About KLUP
KLUP is the place where queer and ally professionals, creatives, and (non-profit) organizations meet, inspire, and collaborate in a safe and inclusive environment.
Work and host it
At KLUP, you can rent a workspace as an independent professional, host meetings with your collective, organization, or clients, organize small-scale events, or showcase your art. KLUP is therefore much more than just an office space. And our ambition extends: soon, we will be adding a podcast and DJ studio.
The rates are friendly
We want to support queer initiatives in all different shapes. Therefore we offer all the facilities and initiatives at prices far below market rates—sometimes even for free, depending on the initiative. Not sure if KLUP is the right place for you? Don’t worry, just send us a message or give us a call nonetheless and we’ll talk.
We love creative plans
The bolder the better. So do drop us a line if you are full of ideas– we’re all ears.
Neighbours be welcome
We also welcome initiatives aimed at bringing people in the neighborhood together. Whether it’s a community dinner, a local swap market, or a game night—KLUP is happy to host social activities that connect and uplift the wider community. Got an idea? Drop us an e-mail or drop by the location.
Community is key
KLUP revolves around community. We don't believe in rigid definitions of who does or doesn't belong; everyone is welcome. KLUP is a self-including community: if you feel at home here, then you belong. However, we ask everyone to endorse the KLUP values.
The initiators
KLUP is an initiative by the non-profit Stichting De Bruiloft. Many of us have roots in the Amsterdam (queer) rave scene, which translates into unique and unconventional events and initiatives. Creativity, collaboration, and a hint of anarchy are woven into everything what we do and form the heart of KLUP.
KLUP is entirely run by volunteers.
KLUP is a home for
KLUP is currently the home of De Queer Schaakclub, Seaworthy Fundraising, Studio Obacht, Queer Business Club, De Regulist, LGBTOUR Amsterdam, Bloemcool and multiple queer creatives and entrepeneurs.
