A new home base for queer professionals, creatives, and local initiatives in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. From (flex)working, dinners, and chess tournaments to already-infamous ‘Slaymibo’s’—KLUP has it all!
Located on Tweede Schinkelstraat, KLUP offers an inclusive and creative environment where queer and allied professionals, artists, organizations, and neighbors can come together to work, create, organize, and connect.
KLUP is more than just a workspace. It’s a vibrant community hub where you can cowork at large tables with great coffee, host a team meeting, organize an art show, or set up a neighborhood dinner. Soon, KLUP will also expand with a podcast and DJ studio. Prices are accessible—sometimes even free—making space available for grassroots initiatives too.
The space is built on four core values: equality, collaboration, creativity, and solidarity with queer causes. Anyone who shares these values is welcome—queer or not. KLUP offers a rare combination of calm and energy: a professional work environment and a breeding ground for activism, art, and connection.
Or, in our words: "Quiet enough to focus. Queer enough to feel alive."
KLUP is already home to several vibrant initiatives, including De Queer Schaakclub, LGBTOUR Amsterdam, Studio Obacht, De Regulist, Queer Business Club Amsterdam, and Seaworthy Fundraising . In addition to their programming, KLUP also hosts its own events for queers, allies, and neighbors. Starting September, monthly Slaymibo’s—Friday drinks with a twist—will be on the calendar.
About Stichting De Bruiloft
KLUP was initiated by the team behind the queer festival De Bruiloft and carries the same DNA: playful, creative, and with a touch of anarchism. Stichting De Bruiloft is a registered cultural nonprofit (ANBI) that supports queer creatives and initiatives.
